Dreamer, Storyteller, and a Visual Artist from India
Aniket Mitra, a Mumbai-based visual artist and storyteller, weaves narratives that transcend borders, collaborating with film industries across the globe. Rooted in a profound love for cinema and music—an inheritance from his father—his journey is a testament to the seamless blend of art and storytelling.
A gold medalist in Graphic Design from the Government College of Art and Craft, Calcutta, Aniket’s early years saw him navigating the corporate world. Yet, the language of cinema always beckoned him, drawing him toward a world where emotions find their voice through moving images. Driven by this passion, he immersed himself in filmmaking, directing shorts like The Paper Boy to explore the nuances of visual storytelling.
His arrival in Mumbai marked the beginning of a new chapter. Breaking into the industry as a Storyboard Artist for Fox Star Studios’ Dil Bechara, he found himself in the heart of cinematic storytelling. Since then, his artistry has flourished through collaborations with renowned production houses such as Yash Raj Films, Dharma Productions, Bhansali Productions, Madras Talkies, Mythri Movie Makers, DNEG, D2R Films, Maddock Films, Red Chillies Entertainment, Netflix, Rajkumar Hirani Films, Reliance Entertainment, Abundantia Entertainment, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Mythoverse Studios, BR Films, Roy Kapur Films, Wakaoo Films, Anil Sharma Productions, B62 Studios, Guy In The Sky Pictures, Shock & Awe Films, Zee Studios, Clean Slate Films, and more.
Inspired by the timeless genius of Satyajit Ray and the evocative artistry of Abanindranath Tagore, Aniket aspires to push the boundaries of visual storytelling onto the global stage. His debut book, Kathar Katha, offers a poetic lens into his life and travels, enriching the ever-evolving tapestry of his creative journey.
