SHE – An exhibition on International Women’s Day 2024 – Taj Bengal, Kolkata

To commemorate International Women’s Day, Taj Bengal, Kolkata hosted an exquisite art exhibition titled “Women In Art,” celebrating the creativity, strength, and vision of artists. The exhibition, which was held from March 6th to March 14th, 2024, showcased the works of 21 talented artists, including distinguished visual artist & filmmaker Aniket Mitra. “Women In Art” aimed to amplify the voices and perspectives of women in the artistic realm, offering a diverse array of artistic expressions, spanning across painting, sculpture, photography, and more. Each piece served as a testament to the unique narratives, experiences, and insights of the participating artists, contributing to a rich tapestry of creativity and empowerment.

As an artist, Aniket is deeply convinced that women occupy an irreplaceable role in shaping the landscape of global creativity. The societal consciousness and ethical compasses evolve profoundly in the presence of women. For centuries, the pens of writers, the melodies of musicians, and the strokes of painters have birthed remarkable female characters whose influence has adorned the vast canvas of our collective imagination. In his artistic journey, he endeavored to gather these timeless figures from Bengali literature and the world of art under one encompassing sky. These characters, in their myriad forms and phases, traversed the diverse stages of our lives, leaving indelible imprints upon our hearts and minds. It was with deep gratitude and admiration that he extended this dedication to every woman intertwined with his life’s tapestry. Through their essence, life was infused with the spirit of celebration, an eternal festival of love, resilience, and inspiration.

TE3N IT AROUND

In the year 2016, Reliance Entertainment and Team TalentHouse organized a poster design competition to promote the film TE3N. I submitted several designs for the competition, and one of them was selected by Shri Amitabh Bachchan and the team behind TE3N. The award ceremony took place in Mumbai, where Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, personally handed over signed posters to the winners. It was an unforgettable moment to receive such recognition from the legendary actor himself.
